T-Mobile celebrates its 20th anniversary, customers will receive a big portion of free data

  •  An increase of the data limit and one-day bundles for CZK 0 during the first weekend of October
  • The data can be used until the end of the billing period
  • Available in the My T-Mobile application 

Prague, 27 September 2016 - This autumn, T-Mobile is celebrating its 20th anniversary on the Czech market. To mark the occasion, the operator has prepared a big portion of free data for all of its customers. The principle is simple: during the first weekend of October, all customers wishing to receive extra free data can increase their data limit by 1000 MB in the My T-Mobile application or use a one-day bundle free of charge. They can enjoy a web-surfing binge until the end of their billing period (the one-day bundles within 24 hours from activation). 

“We would like to celebrate this important anniversary together will all our customers and we believe that free data is the right way to do that,” explains Juraj Bóna, Vice President B2C Marketing and Product Management at T-Mobile, adding: “We firmly believe that everybody will fully enjoy this gift. This also gives us an opportunity to test the parameters of our network during times of heavy traffic and analyse customers’ behaviour.” 

The FUP limit can be increased in the application free of charge by customers in all segments, even repeatedly, from 10:00 p.m. on Friday, 30 September, until 2:00 a.m. on Monday, 3 October. Users of prepaid cards or customers whose plan does not include any data allowance can use a one-day bundle free of charge (repeatedly during the weekend after each 24-hour period). The increased data limit will be used after the customers’ data limit under their plan or bundle has been used up; the use of free data ends upon expiry of the customer’s billing period

The offer also applies to users of the Mobilní internet (“Mobile Internet”) service; however, it is not compatible with the Internet bez drátu (“Wireless Internet”) service and the M2M plans. 

Customers in individual segments will be informed about the special offer by means of the respective communications channels: a combination of text messages or advertising banners with online print, radio, Facebook and Instagram campaigns and a dedicated microsite.
