T-Mobile Pro jistotu: insurance of new devices purchased from T-Mobile
High damage/destruction and theft coverage
Zero co-insurance, everything billed on one invoice, possibility to spread payments over time
T-Mobile is the only Czech operator to offer such a service to its customers
Prague, 25 March 2014 – On 1 April, T-Mobile will launch its own insurance of new devices purchased in the operator's distribution network. The new service called T-Mobile Pro jistotu ("T-Mobile for Peace of Mind") applies to destruction, damage and theft of a device and the monthly premium is paid within the regular Statements of Services. Together with the insurance, T-Mobile is launching another, complementary service: T-Mobile Pro jistotu splácení ("T-Mobile for Peace of Mind with Instalments"), allowing customers to insure their ability to pay. T-Mobile will be the first Czech telecommunications operator to offer such services to its customers.
"Smart phones and tablets account for more than 80% of the devices purchased in our distribution network. Thanks to the possibility of dividing payments into monthly instalments, an increasing number of customers are purchasing more expensive devices," says Dana Tomášková, Resident Segment Marketing Vice President at T-Mobile, adding: "Logically, people buying more expensive devices are more concerned that something could happen to them. Thanks to our new offer, they can now use their devices without having to worry that they might suffer damage, be destroyed or get stolen."
The T-Mobile Pro jistotu insurance will be available with all devices purchased in the operator's distribution network, regardless of whether customers purchase them at once or in instalments. Customers can obtain the service for six, 12 or 24 months. The payment for the service will be simple and transparent, in the form of monthly payments billed in the regular Statements of Services.
The insurance covers damage or destruction by people (including unintentional damage or destruction by the owner of the device) or by physical factors (humidity, water, electricity) and theft. The clear advantage is zero co-insurance by customers. Within the agreed insurance period, customers are entitled to an unlimited number of repairs and up to two complete replacements of the device. Additionally, the insurance does not expire in the case of total loss but continues also after the replacement of the device.
|Price of device (incl. VAT)||T-Mobile Pro jistotu monthly payment (incl. VAT)|
|CZK 0 – 4,000||CZK 49|
|CZK 4,000 – 7,000||CZK 99|
|CZK 7,001 – 10,000||CZK 149|
|More than CZK 10,000||CZK 199|
Another, complementary T-Mobile Pro jistotu splácení service covers the risk of work disability, loss of a job, hospitalisation and convalescence, which are associated with loss of income. It is available to all customers aged 18-65 years who do not draw an old-age or disability pension and are not on work disability, under regular medical care or under medical supervision. In this case too, customers pay the price of the service in the form of monthly payments billed in their Statements of Services and can activate or cancel the service at any time. The operator offers T-Mobile Pro jistotu in cooperation with BNP Paribas Cardif Pojišťovna a.s. and Respect a.s.
