T-Mobile launches a new on-line gaming portal

  • Battles with real opponents on a computer or a handset
  • Customers will get unlimited game-related data transfers for CZK49

Prague, 29 January 2008 - All work and no play can seem pretty dull sometimes, which is why TMobile has prepared tempting new offers for its gamers. Not only is it offering them a brand new website with a wide range of on-line games, it is also uniquely extending this gaming portal in such a way that people can play their favorite games directly on their handsets. In addition, the price of each download (CZK 49 incl. VAT) also covers all related data transfers for twenty days.

Gaming fans will find nineteen on-line games at https://onlinehry.t-zones.cz/ in which they can go head-to-head with thousands of opponents who visit the portal each day. Everyone is sure to find an opponent at any time in their favorite games, which range from logic and action to card and sports games.

Those who do not like sitting at their desktop or notebook while gaming can play the games directly on their handsets, of course. They can choose any of the ten multiplayer games available, such as checkers, chess and tic-tac-toe. Each game costs CZK 49 incl. VAT.

The unique thing is that this price also includes free game-related data transfers via GPRS/EDGE for twenty days. After this period ends, it can be extended by another twenty days, again for CZK 49 - either on the web or by using a mobile phone.

People playing games on their handsets can compete with any other players, regardless of whether they play on their PCs or on handsets as well.

On-line mobile games:

  • Prší (a rummy-style matching card game)
  • Tic-tac-toe
  • Chess
  • Sudoku Duel
  • Checkers
  • Battleship
  • Wild West Duel
  • IQ Cards Duel
  • Concentration Duel
  • Puzzle Duel

On-line players are divided into three categories but they can compete to move up in the rankings. Everyone starts on the "Amateur" level. By registering at t-zones, players automatically move into a higher category and become "Players". Finally, those users who download to their handsets any of the ten multiplayer games automatically become "Professionals".

In addition, new categories have been added to t-zones under the Games section. The most important is the category Soutěže (prize drawings). T-Mobile holds regular prize drawings each month in connection with a new game, and the prizes are very attractive indeed: for example, the Nintendo DS Lite and Microsoft XBOX game consoles, a music mixer, etc. All these tempting offers are now conveniently available directly under Soutěže.

Note: At this moment, the Games section at t-zones is provided only in Czech. The English version is coming soon.
