T-Mobile news in May

  • VAT reduction to be reflected in T-Mobile prices
  • Calls with Twist Extra still for CZK 1/min
  • New Caller Tunes feature: send your friends a poster as an invitation to call you

Prague, 28 April 2004

VAT reduction and new prices
In connection with the change of the basic VAT rate from 22 to 19 percent effective from 1 May this year, T-Mobile also changes the prices of its services from the same date. The new 19% VAT rate will already be applied to all services included in Statements of Services with the tax date in May. Customers will thus pay less even for the services used during April when the higher VAT rate applied. The new tariff and service price list for Twist and contract customers valid as of 1 May 2004 is attached with this press release and can be also found on the company website.

Special weekend call rates continue
All customers using prepaid cards with the Twist Extra tariff will still pay just CZK 1 for calls made on weekends and public holidays. This offer, allowing weekend calls to be made to the T-Mobile network and NEJ numbers at this special price, has been available since March and has now been extended until the end of August this year. In addition, Twist Extra users who have registered for the Twist Bonus loyalty programme offering weekend calls at half the standard price can make weekend calls for just CZK 0.50.

"In our opinion, this tariff is the most cost-effective solution in the market for those prepaid card owners who are frequent callers. In addition to cheap weekend calls, users can make off-peak calls at CZK 3/min to the T-Mobile network, NEJ numbers and fixed lines and the price of an SMS is just CZK 2,? Jiří Hájek, press spokesman for the company, sums up the advantages of Twist Extra.

The prices include 19% VAT.

Send your friends a Caller Tunes poster as an invitation to call you
The Caller Tunes service has become very popular among T-Mobile customers. Tens of thousands people have taken the opportunity to choose their favourite melody to replace the standard tone the caller hears until a call is answered. At www.uvitacitony.cz, customers will find a comprehensive overview of the tunes offered, including top ten melodies. The list of all melodies including the performer's name and order codes can also be printed conveniently. The Caller Tunes service now offers a new feature - the possibility of creating one's own poster. Just choose the picture of the singer, adjust the graphics as you like, add the name and phone number. You can then send this original poster to you friends as an invitation to call you.
