T-Mobile offers calls to the fixed network from CZK 1.30/min

  • Tariff 20+20 is a suitable solution for anyone who doesn't want to pay more than necessary
  • With the new tariff, calls are cheaper than if using a fixed line within the Home Mini tariff
  • Those who activate Tariff 20+20 by the end of January will not pay the monthly fee for three months

Prague, 13 October 2003 - Favourable rates on calls to fixed and mobile networks, separate free minutes for calls to mobiles and fixed lines and the opportunity not to have to pay the monthly fee for three months - all this is offered by the new Tariff 20+20. T-Mobile thus continues its autumn offensive and, at the same time, it is the first operator in the Czech market offering a tool for reducing the impact of the coming VAT increase on customers.

"Many of our customers own a fixed line in addition to their mobile phone. Particularly Twist customers use their mobiles especially for calls to mobile phones and if they want to reach someone on a fixed line, they prefer using the fixed phone, which has been less expensive so far. This is no longer true," explains Jiří Dvorjančanský, Executive Vice President Marketing at T-Mobile. Furthermore, considering the VAT increase in the near future which will apply to telecommunications services as well, some customers may not be able to continue paying two monthly fees. "Our new tariff offers them a solution with favourable calling rates to both the fixed and mobile networks," Dvorjančanský adds.

The new Tariff 20+20 offers the following rates on calls to the fixed network: For calls at peak times, customers will pay just CZK 2.50/min and calls at off-peak times cost just CZK 1.30/min. Within the CZK 250 monthly fee, customers will obtain 40 free minutes, namely 20 minutes for calls to mobile and 20 to fixed networks. Compared to rates applicable to prepaid cards, users will pay less for other calls as well: CZK 3.50/min to the T-Mobile network and CZK 4.50/min to other mobile networks; the SMS price is CZK 1.70.

Moreover, T-Mobile has prepared a special offer in addition to this tariff. Customers who activate Tariff 20+20 until the end of January next year and sign a two-year contract will not have to pay the monthly fee for three months.
