T-Mobile returns monthly-fee deposits

  • The deposited amounts will be refunded to contract customers in February and March
  • Monthly-fee deposits will be returned to the majority of contract customers

Prague, 8 February 2007 - During February, March and April T-Mobile will return to contract customers the monthly-fee deposits that had to be paid in the past. Customers who had to pay such deposit when signing their contract with the operator will receive their money back with their phone bill (Statement of Services). In November last year T-Mobile stopped collecting monthly-fee deposits from new customers who were not registered in the SOLUS debtors register.

The monthly-fee deposit will not be refunded in cash, but it will be deducted from the total amount billed in the regular monthly Statement of Services. For example, if a customer paid a deposit of CZK 500 and the amount billed in the respective Statement of Services is CZK 650, the customer will only have to pay CZK 150, i.e. the difference between the two amounts.

"Customer satisfaction is our main focus. We hope that all customers will appreciate this step," says Martina Kemrová, spokesperson for T-Mobile: "Due to technical reasons, monthly-fee deposits will not be refunded to all customers at the same time. If the deposit is not included in the Statement of Services issued in February, there is no need to worry. The deposit will be refunded in the next Statement of Services."

Deposits will be returned to all customers without outstanding debts after the due date.
