T-Mobile to provide a state allowance for services for disabled persons and the socially disadvantaged

Prague, 21 December 2006 - Effective 1 February 2007, T-Mobile will provide a state allowance in the form of a discount on mobile communications services to disabled persons, persons with special social needs and the socially disadvantaged. A discount in the amount of up to CZK 200 will be deducted each month from the total amount billed to the respective customer. Customers may use this allowance for the majority of T-Mobile tariff plans.

Entitlement to receive a state allowance                                                                                                                                    A discount of CZK 200 incl. VAT will be provided to all customers who use any of the tariff plans with a monthly fee higher than CZK 200 (incl. VAT), with the exception of the Internet 4G and Data&SMS tariffs, and belong to any of the following groups:

  • Persons with very low income and with special social needs
  • Disabled persons who are holders of the disabled-person identification card (ZTP or ZTP/P)
  • Helpless persons
  • Court-appointed legal guardian of a minor who is a holder of a disabled-person identification card (ZTP or ZTP/P). 

How to obtain the allowance                                                                                                                                                                                                 Customers may claim the entitlement to the state allowance in all T-Mobile Shops. The existing customers may also request the allowance in a letter sent to the T-Mobile Customer Centre. Such letter must include all relevant documents proving such entitlement.

In order to be able to claim the entitlement to the state allowance, the customer must present, in accordance with Government Decree No. 336/2006 Coll., evidence of the decision of the relevant authority based on which he/she is entitled to receive the state allowance. Disabled customers must also present the disabled?person identification card (ZTP or ZTP/P).

In the event that the application for the state allowance is submitted by a legal guardian (e.g., for a minor), the legal guardian must submit a document confirming that he/she is the legal guardian for the person who is applying for the state allowance. The state allowance in the form of a discount on mobile communications services can only be drawn from one operator.

Bundle of additional free minutes and SMS                                                                                                                                                                           In addition to free minutes and SMS within the relevant tariff, all customers who are disabled, socially disadvantaged or have special social needs can now take advantage of the special T-Mobile offer and receive an additional 20 free minutes to the T-Mobile and fixed-line networks and 20 free SMS to all networks each month. This offer is valid until 28 February 2007. This bundle of additional free minutes and SMS will be provided as a standard to disabled customers even after this promo event ends.
