  • Anyone can receive a picture or photograph – MMS can be sent to any telephone or e-mail address

Prague, 26 June 2003 - T-Mobile has prepared a unique MMS offer for the upcoming holiday period. From 1 July till 31 August 2003, contract and Twist customers will be able to send MMS for just CZK 2 excl. VAT. Furthermore, contract customers will even be able to send MMS from abroad at this special price. All users will thus have the opportunity to make full use of the Multimedia Messaging Service combining photographs, text, audio sequences, pictures and animations during the holidays. The receipt of multimedia messages has no limitations - anyone can receive them. MMS can be sent to any mobile phone or e-mail address.

"Thanks to this special offer, anyone can try MMS. Our customers will now save almost CZK 8 compared to the standard MMS price," explains Jiří Hájek, press spokesman for T-Mobile, adding: "It is even more favourable to send multimedia messages from abroad. Those who decide to send a greeting via MMS instead of the standard postcard can send several messages at the price of a stamp. In addition, they will be able to share their holiday experiences with their friends and family immediately."

MMS are as convenient and easy to send as SMS. MMS can be sent from an MMS-enabled phone to another phone or e-mail address. If the recipient is an owner of a phone which is not MMS-enabled, he or she will receive a standard SMS with information that an MMS message has been sent and can be retrieved at www.t-zones (no registration is needed) or on the t-zones wapsite under Email a více. If the MMS message is sent to MobileBox or MobileBox Easy (to the address t-email.cz or click.cz), it can be viewed there similarly as on an MMS-enabled phone.

As of 1 July 2003, T-Mobile offers sixteen MMS-enabled phones at prices starting at CZK 2,399 excl. VAT. Two MMS phones are also available within Twist sets which cost CZK 6,999 incl. VAT. To be able to send MMS using a mobile phone, the user has to activate the MMS and T-Mobile GPRS services. The MMS service can be activated free of charge on the T-Mobile Infoline.

From abroad, T-Mobile customers can send MMS in the networks of 43 operators supporting GPRS roaming. The service is available in 37 countries of the world, most recently in China, Belgium and Sri Lanka.

Note: The special offer applies to the sending of MMS. The prices of the MMS Info and MMS Downloads services remain unchanged.
