Prague, 12 February 2007 - The most visited music portal in the Czech Republic - www.t-music.cz - was enlarged today with a digital music shop. Thanks to the t-music PLAY! service, T-Mobile customers will also be able to play songs and even whole albums in music-enabled mobile phones and digital music players as well. The offer is very extensive: more than 400,000 songs with prices starting at CZK 21.90 while whole albums can be downloaded for as little as CZK 249. In addition to this, each new customer receives the first song of their own choice free of charge.

"Music has been one of our key areas for a long time. We are very happy that we can offer TMobile customers the largest music store in the Czech Republic," says Michal Němec, Vice President Mobile Portal and Content Services of TMobile, adding: "What makes the t-music PLAY! service exceptional is not only the extensive offer of songs and albums but also the possibility to listen to them using music mobile phones and digital music players. In addition, using your mobile to pay couldn't be easier."

The t-music portal is changing its appearance and introducing t-music PLAY! - the largest music superstore in the Czech Republic. Those who visit it will have plenty to choose from: more than 400,000 Czech and foreign songs in various genres, ranging from pop, hip-hop and electronica to classic rock, reggae and world music, and not only those issued by major labels. Visitors to t-music PLAY! can download their favorite songs for as little as CZK 21.90 while entire albums are priced from CZK 249.

The new store is also unique in that the purchased songs can be listened to on a computer as well as on a mobile phone or digital music player. Songs downloadable for playing on a desktop computer or a notebook can also be burnt onto an audio CD. In addition to this, all registered users of the t-music portal can send any song to their friends and relatives. They will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to access, play and store songs and albums.

Shopping at t-music PLAY!
Before making your first purchase, you need to register. Customers with a t-zones account may skip this procedure at t-music. Only users with a T-Mobile number can register to use the portal.

What follows is the standard way of shopping on the internet. In the catalogue divided according to music genres, users simply choose their favorite artist, select songs or entire albums, and put these in their shopping cart.

You will pay for the downloaded music in the easiest way: using the mobile phone whose number you entered during the registration (this number needs to belong to the T-Mobile network). If you are a contract customer, the price of the individual items is billed in the regular monthly Statement of Services. If you are a Twist user, the whole sum is deducted from your credit.

My Music - folder for purchased songs
After you have successfully purchased the selected items, they are transferred from the shopping cart into the Moje hudba (My Music) folder. From there, you can download them to your computer, either in a format for playing on a PC (and on a digital music player) or in a format for mobile phones. Songs in a mobile phone format can be transferred from the PC to the handset using a cable.

Digital music files are protected against unauthorized copying with a DRM system (Digital Rights Management). The music files for PC use are in the WMA format; those for playing on mobile phones are in the DCF format. If you intend to play the purchased songs on your mobile phone, it is necessary that its SIM card is associated with the phone number you entered at registration. The reason for this is that while the purchased music is being downloaded to your PC, authorization for playing this music is sent from the website to your mobile phone.

Some phones receive the authorization as a standard SMS while other types receive it without notifying the user. However the authorization is delivered, you will be able to play the music as soon as it is transferred from the PC to your phone.

You may want to check the t-music website for the complete list of mobile phones which allow listening to downloaded songs. This includes the following types: Nokia 6230i, Nokia N70, Sony Ericsson W810i, Sony Ericsson K750i and Sony Ericsson D750i. As of the day of launching the service, 21 phone models are supported.

Access to the t-music website is open to the public. However, those interested in downloading their favorite songs or albums will need a T-Mobile SIM card - either with a tariff plan or a Twist card.

The www.t-music.cz website is not only a music shop, however. Visitors to the website can view the t-music hit chart as well as watch the full-length music videos of all the songs on the chart, while others will appreciate the Caller Tunes, ringtones, videozone and the latest music news.
