The new T-Mobile Bonus: Plenty of benefits and the same conditions for everyone

  • The existing loyalty programs transformed into a uniform T-Mobile Bonus program
  • The same conditions and benefits for all T-Mobile customers
  • Two types of benefits to choose from: collection of Bonus points or use of a Special Service
  • From 1 March 2008, calls to T-Mobile numbers for CZK 1/min. from 9 pm to 9 am

Prague, 4 February 2008: Starting on 3 February, T-Mobile contract and Twist customers can join the new, unified T-Mobile Bonus loyalty program. The new scheme unifies the two variants (Twist Bonus and T‑Mobile Bonus) that have differed so far while offering extended benefits. In addition, T-Mobile Bonus is no longer limited to selected tariff plans but can be used by all customers.

"Loyalty programs significantly influence the way in which most people perceive a company's overall approach to its customers. The most important aspects include transparency and the opportunity to easily receive benefits," explains Petr Dvořák, Vice President Category and Product Management, adding: "Under the new T-Mobile Bonus program, uniform, simple conditions now apply to all customers. The longer they are with us, the easier it is for them to obtain some of the benefits."

All customers can choose the type of benefits that best suits their needs. Option one is collecting Bonus points that are provided depending on the amount spent - customers will receive one Bonus point for each CZK 23.80 incl. VAT spent (plus a full 100 points upon registration in the program). Bonus points can be used to purchase phones, accessories, packages of free units and other goods or services based on the valid catalogue.

Option two is using the currently provided Special Service. Until 29 February 2008, this is the popular "Morning Warm-up", offering on-net SMS from 6 am to noon for as little as CZK 0.50 incl. VAT each. The next Special Service will be calls to T-Mobile numbers from 9 pm to 9 am for just CZK 1/min. incl. VAT.

To be eligible for T-Mobile Bonus benefits, customers must spend a certain amount or top up their Twist cards with a particular amount of credit during the monitored period (see below). This amount depends on the "age" of the respective SIM card or, more precisely, phone number - the time since the activation in the case of tariff plans, and the time since making the first call in the case of Twist. The monitored period is the standard billing period for contract users, and 30 days for Twist customers.

SIM card age Required amount in the loyalty account
Less than 6 months CZK 600
From 6 months to 1 year CZK 400
From 1 year to 2 years CZK 300
More than 2 years CZK 250

Note: The data listed in the table are approximate; the exact number of days since the activation is specified in the conditions of the program. The amounts include VAT.

If at the end of the monitored period the amount topped up reaches the minimum amount required, the number of Bonus points corresponding to the topped-up amount will be added to the Twist credit or, if applicable, the Special Service will be provided in the following 30-day period. In the case of contract customers, the total amount spent cannot be exactly identified immediately following the end of the respective billing period. Therefore, the Bonus points are allocated only at the time of issuing the Statement of Services or, if applicable, the Special Service is provided in the next period.

Twist customers can use Bonus points only if they provide their contact details via My T-Mobile so that they can be sent the catalogue of benefits and the goods ordered.

Free registration is required for joining the T-Mobile Bonus program. To register, the customer must send a SMS with BONUS A to 4603, call the Customer Centre or use My T-Mobile. Those who participated in the former variants of the loyalty program do not need to register again, as they will become members automatically. All settings can be administered free of charge via SMS, by calling the automatic voice response system or by using My T-Mobile.

Following registration, the option of collecting Bonus points is activated for contract customers by default, whereas the standard benefit activated for Twist customers is the Special Service. During one period, customers can use only one type of benefit, which can be changed in the next period.

If a participant in the loyalty program switches from Twist to a tariff plan, the selected type of benefit remains unchanged and all Bonus points collected are transferred. If switching from a tariff plan to Twist, use of the Special Service is set up by default and the Bonus points are transferred only if this concerns the customer's only (last) SIM card under the respective Statement of Services.
