GTS partners with T-Mobile to offer mobile services in the Czech Republic

Prague, February 4, 2013 – GTS and T-Mobile announced today a partnership to offer mobility solutions in the Czech Republic.  Through the first MVNO agreement in the country focused on the business market segment, GTS will build a new product set based on the T-Mobile network.  Both companies are industry leaders and the partnership promises to provide more choice and flexibility to Czech businesses.

“Extending our product portfolio with mobile services is a significant milestone and reflection of our innovation and commercial strength. These services will enrich the wide range of telecommunications solutions we currently provide our business customers.  From simple voice and data to complex ICT and now mobility services, GTS is prepared to meet nearly any customer need. This partnership with T-Mobile will ensure we continue to provide the highest quality of services to our customers,” saidDavid Šita, Managing Director, GTS Czech.

With a long history in the Czech Republic and across Central Europe, GTS has seen the needs of its customers evolve significantly in the past few years.  As work forces become increasingly mobile and business applications move to the cloud, the traditional boundaries of the telecommunications industry break down.   GTS mobile services will provide truly converged products to both retail and wholesale customers.   The company will use its mobility solutions to improve communications and productivity in the workplace, while simplifying the management of fixed and mobile costs for its customers.

“This agreement with GTS is the first step in implementing our wholesale strategy,” said Milan Vašina, Managing Director, T-Mobile Czech Republic. We were looking for a professional and reliable partner that could meet the high technical and business requirements that we set for this type of cooperation and from which we cannot deviate. We are convinced that we have found such a partner in GTS.”

GTS plans to launch their mobile services this summer.  Further information concerning the service offers will be made public soon.
