T-Mobile offers a summer of unlimited data and continues to change the data market in the Czech Republic

  • “Unlimited Data for the Summer” in the My T-Mobile application
  • The offer is valid until 31 August and can be activated repeatedly

Prague, 17 June 2019 - This summer with T-Mobile will be carefree:beginning 20 June 2019, customers can repeatedly activate a new bundle – “Unlimited Data for the Summer” (“Neomezená data na léto”) – in the My T-Mobile application free of charge. The offer is valid until 31 August and the operator will also support it with a campaign of the same name. This is another important step by means of which T-Mobile has been changing the Czech mobile data market and moving it forward in the past years.

“We want to treat our residential customers to a carefree summer full of experiences, when they can easily consume much more data than they are used to. And when we say unlimited data, we mean it,” says Juraj Bóna, T-Mobile Chief Country Officer for the Czech Republic, adding: “We have the best mobile network in the Czech Republic and we want our customers to enjoy it to the fullest in the summer. We want to continue moving the mobile data market in the Czech Republic forward and we are certainly not done taking similar steps to do that.”

Two years ago, T-Mobile was the first operator in the Czech Republic to introduce new tariff plans with significantly bigger data allowances. Less than a year later, the operator began to give customers extra portions of data for using more of the operator’s services within Magenta 1. Furthermore, T-Mobile also focused on the needs of occasional data users with prepaid cards who, since last December, have only paid for the data they actually use. After the operator extended the offer of additionally purchased data at the beginning of this month and allowed the data to be rolled over to the next month, the summer offer of unlimited data is even more good news for all data users.

Customers can activate the summer bundle in the My T-Mobile application. It is valid for 30 days; after expiry, all customers need to do is activate a new bundle for another 30 days. The offer is valid until midnight on 31 August, when the bundle will be automatically deactivated. All information is available in the application; customers can find there a button for activation of the bundle as well as its period of validity. The offer is valid for all residential customers with an activated voice tariff plan and with a certain data allowance as well as for users of the prepaid Twist card with an activated monthly or annual data bundle. Twist customers can easily activate any of the monthly data bundles or the annual data bundle directly in the application. Within the European Union, customers can use the data just as conveniently and safely as at home; they will not pay a single crown more. The offer can also be used by business customers that do not benefit from the advantages available under a framework contract or an important customer contract.

Summer of no limits with T-Mobile – The operator will support the summer offer with a campaign

From 21 June, T-Mobile will support the offer of unlimited data for the summer with a campaign of the same name. The campaign will run on TV, radio, internet and social networks and will be supplemented with communication at T-Mobile shops. A 30-second spot will be aired on TV from 1 July. T-Mobile’s new summer campaign is inspired by the classic quote by the Czech writer Vladislav Vančura. Unlike the original (“Such a summer, seems to me, spells misfortune”), however, the campaign says “This summer spells no limits”. The campaign was created by Saatchi & Saatchi. The TV spot produced by Boogie Films was shot in one take by director Milan Balog. The media agency MediaCom Praha arranged the media planning and buying.

More information about the offer of unlimited data for the summer can be found from 20 June on the website at www.t-mobile.cz/neomezeneleto.
