  • A total of 46 grant applications out of 166 received have been granted financial support
  • T-Mobile will support 15 projects in the Hradec Králové region with an amount exceeding CZK 750,000

Prague/Hradec Králové, 25 October 2005 - The results of the T-Mobile Fund grant programme have become known. Members of the evaluation committees carefully studied the applications for the grant programme which met with great interest. The evaluation committee has selected 46 winning projects from among 166 grant applications. Applicants from Prague 11 and the Hradec Králové and Louny districts will soon receive cheques in the total value of nearly CZK 2.5 million. The official awarding of funds will take place in the T-Mobile buildings in Hradec Králové, Louny and Prague.

"We are really pleased about the large number of people who found our programme interesting. We believe that the next round of this programme which is planned for 2006 will also meet with great interest," says Jitka Chocová, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at T-Mobile.

The evaluation committee for the Hradec Králové region has decided that a total of 15 projects out of 76 grant applications submitted will receive financial support. The VIA foundation, which administers the T-Mobile Fund for the Hradec Králové region, will thus distribute CZK 765,000 among the winning organizations and associations.

Financial support will be granted particularly to projects which are focused on leisure-time activities and integration of disabled children into their peers' community, sports activities for children and young people, projects for emergency shelters, and accompanying activities within the European Regions Theater festival. Financial support will also be granted to the Teaching Hospital in Hradec Králové, namely to the Department of Children's Surgery and Traumatology.

The winning projects include not only projects submitted by non-profit organizations but also projects submitted by elementary and secondary schools. Financial support will thus be granted, for example, to the Secondary Professional Training Institution Hlušice for the project called Park Full of Life, and to the Elementary School of V. Kl. Klicpera in Nový Bydžov for the project for creating a "Green Zone".
