T-Mobile - the Most Successful Mobile Operator of 2002

Prague, 5 February 2003 - As of 31 December 2002, RadioMobil a.s. registered 3,509,593 customers, which represents a year-on-year net increase in customer base of almost 660 thousand. RadioMobil, operator of the T-Mobile network, thus became the most successful national operator.

The year 2002 was marked by the brand change from Paegas to T-Mobile. "Our victory proves that the new T-Mobile brand not only became very popular within a short time but it also motivated most customers to choose the global operator," Managing Director of RadioMobil Roland Mahler comments on the results.

Advantages resulting from the membership of the operator in the international T-Mobile Group are valued, in particular, by business customers, both by large companies and by middle and small enterprises. For example, Skanska and Unipetrol have recently become key accounts of T-Mobile. Another key account, Škoda Auto, has renewed its contract.

The success of the global brand is also proven by the fact that the T-Mobile group was awarded Best Mobile Operator in the category Europe, Middle East and Africa by the jury of the World Communication Awards 2002.
