Prague, 26 August 2014 – T-Mobile has agreed with STES, the holder of the marketing and advertising rights of the Football Association of the Czech Republic (FAČR), on the terms under which their partnership will continue. The new two-year contract will take effect on 1 September 2014. The operator will thus continue to be the general partner of the Czech national football team at least until the Euro 2016 tournament, which will be hosted by France.

“We are confident that our national team will advance to Euro 2016. Within our continued cooperation, we want to focus primarily on helping improve the image of Czech football and increase safety at stadiums,” says Milan Vašina, T Mobile’s Managing Director.

Under the partnership contract, the operator helped FAČR prepare the “One for All, All for One” campaign, according to which the Czech football team will receive financial bonuses from its partner not only for the team's results but also for the activities leading to its positive perception by the media and the public.

In cooperation with T-Mobile, FAČR is working on the creation of a database of hostile attendees of football matches and an identification system that will help prevent access to stadiums for such persons and, as a result, increase safety during football matches. Additionally, the operator is in negotiations with FAČR and STES regarding the provision of internet connectivity at premiere-league stadiums as well as other services.

T-Mobile has also been developing a mobile application for FAČR, which will, for example, provide detailed information about the Czech national football team. The application will be available for the iOS, Android and Windows Phone operating systems and will be included in the operator's offer in the first quarter of 2015.

The president of FAČR, Miroslav Pelta, said regarding the extension of the contract: “I very much appreciate the stable link and mutual trust between the national football team and our long-term partner, T-Mobile. I am confident that we will jointly succeed in bringing Czech football closer to well-behaved spectators. We will strive to help the Czech national team advance to EURO 2016 in France and Czech football to achieve further success at all levels in the future.”

T-Mobile has been the general partner of the Czech national football team since 1998. The current contract expires on 31 August.
