t-music Kryštof acoustic tour at universities

  • Seven universities will host Kryštof concerts starting 17 March
  • T-Mobile customers can win tickets in a SMS competition

Prague, 18 February 2009 - The spring part of the t-music tour series will bring unconventional concerts by Kryštof. The band from Ostrava is setting off on its tour of Czech Universities as part of T‑Mobile's long-term t-music tour project.

For several years, t-music tour has been organizing special and unusual music tours of popular Czech bands and artists. The Kryštof tour in March will be the first to take place outside the traditional clubs, as the band will visit seven universities throughout the country. The shows will be designed specially for the university environment and are intended exclusively for students.

Kryštof has been present on the Czech music scene for fifteen years. After its last successful tour of big concert halls, it has surprised its fans with an unusual tour of theatres and with a show at the State Opera. For this year, the band has scheduled very few concerts and festivals in order to be able to concentrate on preparations for a new album. The t-music tour is one of the few exceptions and will again take place in a truly unique environment.

The band has rehearsed a special acoustic program for university auditoriums, which is based on the recent theatre shows but with completely new arrangements. This means that fans who have already heard the acoustic program can look forward to a brand new show. Fans may also influence the selection of songs on the set-list in an on-line chat with the band that will take place on the t-music website on 2 March.

Between songs, Richard Krajčo and other members of the band will talk to students, who will be allowed to ask questions and discuss topics of their choice. Most of the concerts will be accompanied by large-screen projections and students will receive many other bonuses, such as tickets in the form of a student's record book, which the musicians will sign next to individual subjects. We may even see the musicians and their fans testing each other. Each show of the tour, including behind-the-scenes activities, will also be recorded for a video.

Tickets will be available only to the students of the given university. Half of the tickets will be on sale to the general student body and the other half is reserved for students who are customers of T-Mobile and may win free tickets in a SMS competition.

The t-music Kryštof tour starts on 17 March at the University of Ostrava and its last stop will be at the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň on 27 March.
